Photobook

Monday, January 12th, 2009

A friend of mine just made a photobook recently from a place called Picaboo. It’s a leather cover photobook for 50 bucks. It looks very professional to me. I thought it would have cost over a hundred dollars. To me, I think this is an awesome deal. I made some photobooks before from places like Shutterfly but they don’t always come out nice.  If you ever think about making a photobook, give Picaboo a try.

Picaboo

I haven’t tried their software yet so I can’t comment on how easy it is to create a photobook. I may be making one in the near future for my son. When I do, I will try to use Picaboo and write a review on their software.

Btw, I found a couple coupon codes for Shutterfly:

20% off prints with promo code: AF75-SAVE

Free shipping on orders $50+ with promo code: SHIP50

Panasonic 50″ Plasma TV TH-50PX80U

Monday, January 12th, 2009

I can’t believe this TV cost less than a grand now shipped at B&H. I bought it about a year and half ago for $2500. I remember my brother, a friend and I drove a mini-van to Circuit City to pick up 3 Panasonic 50″ Plasma TVs. The sale went from over $3000 to $2500.  We thought that was the cheapest it could ever get so we all decided to buy. Who knew that 6 months later, the price dropped to about $1500.  Now it’s less $1000.  What the heck.

Anyway, I love this TV.  The picture quality is just amazing.  I have a lot of friends who got LCDs and when they come over to my place, they always get blown away on how good the picture quality this TV has.  There are also tons of good reviews on avsforum.com.  The SD card slot for picture is not that great though.  You can watch photos but it’s slow.  I am happy with my Xbox 360Microsoft Store with TVersity set up for viewing photos.

Bad Kenmore Washer Part 2

Here is a video clip of what my Kenmore Washer sounds like when it does the high speed spin at the end of the washing cycle. I think this is a good indicator that it’s time for replacement.
